Jashne Miladunnabi was held in the gracious presence of Mr. Ali Chageni, the Honorable Ambassador of I. R. Iran to India, Dr. Ali Dehgahi, the Cultural Counsellor of Iran in New Delhi, HujjatolIslam Mohammad Reza Saleh, Representative of Al-Mustafa International University, India Branch, Delhi, Maulana Mohammad Rafiq Qasmi, Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami, India, Mr. Shahid Mehdi, former Vice Chairman of Indian Council for Cultural Relations and former V.C. Jamia Millia Islamia, Maulana Seyyed Mohsin Taqavi, Imam Juma, Delhi, Professor Ain-ul- Hassan, Chairman Department of Persian, Jawahar Lal Nehru University, Dr. Farooq, the Managing Director of Himalayan Drugs, Qari Reza Mohammadpour and Hafez Mahdi Abbasi from Iran, Qari Mohammad Naseeruddiin Manashavi from Hyderabad, Mr. Mohammad Imran, and Maulana Azadar Abbas from Mumbai on 24th November 2018 in Iran Culture House, New Delhi.


The ceremony began with the recitation of the verses from Holy Quran by Qari Reza Mohammadpour.

Dr. Ali Dehgahi welcomed the audience & congratulated them on the occasion of the birth Anniversary of Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Imam Ja"far Sadiq (A.S). He further added that right from the Islamic Revolution in Iran, our country emphasized that Unity Week must be celebrated as the symbol of solidarity by entire Ummah around the world on this auspicious occasion.

 

Dr. Dehgahi also briefed about the 19th national competition of holy Quran as participants came from sixteen states of India.

 

Mr. Matin Amrohvi has recited a Naat. Then Dr. Farooq expressed his views about Holy Qur"an and the importance of its recitation and memorization. He wished that we should pay more attention to the Qur"an in our lives.

Hujjatull Islam Mohammad Reza Saleh, referred to the current situation of the Islamic world, and said that these are due to distance of Ummah from the preaching"s of Holy Quran & seerah.

He emphasized that Islam is the religion of humanity and rationality. He further added that the only way to reemerge the Islamic civilization is to return to the Holy Quran & unity.

Hujjatul Islam Saleh said that "Recitation of the Holy Quran, understanding and the practice as well as propagation of its teachings & preaching is the essential elements for the revival of Ummah.

 

He emphasized that the Qur"an is capable to fulfill materialistic and spirituality needs of mankind.

 

Mr. Ali Chageni, a newly appointed Honorable Iranian Ambassador to India, emphasized that the birth of the holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) is the most important event in the world, and the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) is a special blessing for all the creatures, living and non-living, and Islam is a complete way of life with kindness. Muslims thanks God daily and at the same time some of them are damaging the face of Islam.

 

The Ambassador emphasized that Muslims should promote the aspect of righteousness with good ethics to the world.
He further added that we should try to avoid the differences and introduce the genuine Islam to the world with the great moral legacy of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

 

Maulana Muhammad Rafiq Qasemi, the Secretary General of the Jamaat-e-Islami of India congratulated on the occasion of the unity week and said: "The Qur"an is a guide, but we only recite it and we do not try enough to get any guidance from it." He emphasized that the Holy Qur"an has always been the forefront of Islam but we have not been able to live with it.

 

Professor Ainul Hassan recited naat in Urdu & Persian languages.


Maulana Seyyed Mohsen Taqvi, in his remarks, emphasized that the common values should be strengthened among the muslims throughout the world.

 

2 recent issues of the Quarterly Journal of the Rah-e Islam were released by the dignitaries.


At the end of the program, 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes were awarded and the 2 competitors with first position will go to Iran to participate in the International Competitions for the Memorization and Recitation of the Holy Qur"an, which being held during the holy month of Ramadan.
