A symposium on "Imam Khomeini(R.A.) and Islamic Revolution" was held at the Babul-ilm, Delhi.



On the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Idara-e-Niday-e-Haq, New Delhi has organized a symposium on "Imam Khomeini & Islamic Revolution" in the presence of Dr. Gholam Ali Haddad Adel, President, Saadi Foundation, Iran; Dr. Ali Dehgahi, the Cultural Counsellor of Iran in New Delhi; Dr. Reza Morad Sahraee from University of Allamah Tabatabaie, Tehran, Dr. Ehsanullah Shokrullahi, Director, Persian Research Center, Delhi; Maulana Mohsin Taqavi, Imam Juma, Shia Jama Masjid Delhi; Dr. M. H. Qasemi, Jamia School; Mr. Taslim Rahmani, Chairman, Muslim Political Council of India; Professor Ain-ul-Hassan, Chairman of Persian & Central Asian Studies, JNU and a large number of intellectuals & student on February 3, 2019, at Babul-ilm, Delhi.

Dr. Gholam Ali Haddad Adel congratulated the audience on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution and said: "Indians can understand the Islamic Revolution much better than other nations because before independence & freedom, they had experienced 150 years of pain of the British colonialism."

He emphasized that Imam Khomeini(R.A.), with his full faith in God and the support of the people, led the revolution. He was imprisoned in 1963 and was exiled to Turkey and Iraq a year later, but his faith and his trust and honesty and courage caused a nation to say "Labbyek" to his call.

 

He further added that the victory of the Islamic Revolution was the greatest victory of the Iranian people throughout history, when for the first time people of Iran has elected their own leader.

 

In another part of his remarks on the role of Ayatollah Khamenei"s leadership in the recent years, Saadi Foundation Chairman pointed out that despite the conspiracies and hostilities of the colonialists, the Iranian people continue to progress in various fields.

He said that Iran has a special focus on the eastern countries after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and its important example is Indo-Iran Relations, which is strengthening day by day.

 

He added that Ayatollahs Khamenei is of particular interest to the people of India, and the role of Muslims in the Indian Freedom Movement reflects this interest.

 

Referring to British policies toward Iran and India, he went on to emphasize the British and later Americans" dominance over Iran and emphasized that there was no independence, freedom, and Islam before the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
